Retro Fit Heated Steering Wheel Chip

I purchased a 2022 Enclave Premium in April of 2022. It didn't come with chips for the power fold rear seats, park assist, heated rear seat and heated steering wheel. The park assist, heated rear seats and heated steering wheel chips are retro fit and will be installed when available. I did get the chip for the heated rear seats this past fall. I would really like the chip for the heated steering wheel but apparently it's not available yet. Just wondering if there are others of you out there still waiting for any of these chips?

They haven’t started the steering wheel retrofits yet to the best of my knowledge. I was lucky-ish that I got one produced in June 2022 fresh off if the truck that had everything it was supposed to except for the ventilated cushion chip (the seat back part worked though) and the park assist chips. But speaking with the dealership those other chips including the steering wheel one you are missing isn’t being done yet allegedly. You can keep checking for messages in the OnStar app on the head unit (got the message I could take mine in for the ventilated chip and had it fixed long before I received the letter from GM about it) or keep periodically checking in with your dealership. But otherwise it will continue to be a waiting game.
I bought my '22 Avenir in April and the only retrofit I need is the 2nd row heated seats and my front parking sensors. A local dealer in SWFL got them in and I'm going in on 1/28 for them. I did not buy my Avenir here, but I was placed on a list to be called.

From my understanding they're slowly all coming in. Not all dealers are getting the chips at the same time. Some dealerships have priority over others due to volume of sales. My closest Buick dealership is trash and only has 1 dealership. The one I am going to for the retrofit has about 25+ dealerships in Florida, though not all are GM lines, maybe 12 are. Now I could very well be wrong. I'm just going off what the dealership I bought mine from said back in April and what the dealership I am going to told my husband. (I bought it at neither Buick dealers close to me, I drove over an 1.5 hrs away as I love that dealership.)

I would call around to other dealerships if you have any closer to you. At best, you get the chip or maybe more information regarding the chip. Patience is going to be the key though.

Our patience has just about run its course. Waiting on three retrofits since May. 2023's are arriving to lots with everything working. I think we are about to move on from GM.
It isn't just GM. There are chip shortages for most brands. If GM is putting out newer vehicles with the chips in place, it is probably so the dealers don't have to get involved with them down the road. It would also cost GM more to have dealers retrofit the chips. That doesn't make it any easier for folks who have just purchased a new vehicle to deal with the absence of some features.

I wish that were true about other brands, but sadly it isn't. We went shopping this weekend and everything we looked at was loaded and working.
I bought my 2022 Enclave March 2022 in Michigan , still waiting for heated steering wheel and park assist chips. Not a happy camper.
Well, we have parted ways. Just bought with another manufacturer (will be respectful and refrain from specifics) and it has everything and more working on it. Wife is now happy. GM has definitely lost future business with us for the foreseeable future.

Same date, same vehicle. Just got the parking assist retrofit yesterday. Called GM to complain about steering wheel heat, they sent me a $100.00 voucher fir service and apologized for delays. Said no idea when available.
I got my park assist retrofit last week. I didn't realize that without the park assist chip that the rear sensors did not work. This winter I backed into a dumpster, dented the rear hatch and broke the bumper cover. Just got it back from the body shop yesterday.

I haven't heard anything on the heated steering wheel. The dealer says I'll hear something before they do. Guess I'll have to call GM and complain and see if I can get $100 voucher. :)
I got lucky and only needed the partial ventilated seat retrofit and the rear/front park assist. Finally getting the park assist done tomorrow (dealership got my parts in last month after ordering but failed to contact me 😤). My seat was done last year. I wasn’t as upset about the long wait as many others were but to be fair… I didn’t have the missing features many of you all had and my wait has been shorter than some (purchased July 5, 2022 literally fresh off of the delivery truck). I honestly didn’t realize people were still waiting for the steering wheel retrofit. Would have thought that and heated seats would have been done quicker than any of them. Hoping they are before this winter arrives….especially for those of you up north
