My wife a current MDX owner has been looking for a larger vehicle. We haven't owned a GM product for 20 years. It's been Honda, Toyota and Acura since then and we've been quite happy so we were skeptical about considering the new Outlook and Acadia but after seeing them in person, reading various reviews including these owner forums are confidence grew. We drove the Outlook last week and it appeared my wife made up her mind and I was going to order an Outlook after she decided on the color. Now here's the twist. After we left the Saturn dealer I decided to stop at the Buick GMC dealer who had 2 new Acadias out by the road. However they just closed. I decided to drive around the lot when we were leaving and there it was. A new Enclave had arrived. Seeing it in person was far more impressive then the photos. The next day we drove it and throughly checked it. In short, our observations were that it was definitely a quieter more refined ride then the other two and it had a more luxerious look inside and out. As the salesman said it's a 2008, 4 year warranty, available back up camera, power tilt/telescoping wheel, Michelin tires and distinct appearance. All for about the same price as the Acadia/Outlook. Ordered one yesterday, expect to have it in about 8 weeks. Excellent purchasing experience.

Also, they now have three Enclaves on the lot but they can not sell them until the official GM Ohio launch next week.

congratssssssssss..... :blob:
I have a question to those that bought the enclave. Dose the key fob show that you can check the air presure in each tire, and see how much fuel is in the tank? That just some of its monitoring.

That's an optional key fob that can be purchased from the dealer as an accessory. The standard remote does not have any of those features.
Congratulations!!!

I wish it could become just as easy for me to decide. I m still hung between Acadia and the Enclave :sosad:
G
coopermine - either way you're going to get a great vehicle. Just decide which one looks better to you and get it! :)
Other than the looks the question is whether to get the backup camera or the HUD I can live without the hi beam Xenon in the Enlave 8)
Coopermine, the view out the back of all these vehicles is limited and the Enclave has less visability than the other two because of the way the sides of the vehicle start curving in as you work your way to the back end. We felt the camera earned its way on with the Enclave but that requires the Nav system, which we ordered. As for Xenon lights once you had them you can't do without them. It all depends on your budget but if you are going to get it pretty loaded up the Enclave is no brainer. You can't go wrong no matter which one you choose. Good Luck!
I have a GM vehicle with HUD and I personally will take the HID Zenons any day. Both are nice. :blob:
What I meant was I really want the HIDs. The HID option in Acadia doesn't have Xenon /HID hi beam, it is regular halgen bulb.
good luck on the 8 weeks. mine has been on order for 4 weeks and still do not have an estimated build date.
For all of you Reservist, National Guardmen, and Military Retiree's, Gm is offering $1000 discount throughout the month of May. All of youse seem to be on top of everything, you might already be aware of this. :blob:
