captains chairs of course....2nd row bench makes me feel clostiphobic as if i was in a car all over again....love the room and airiness of the captains chairs

I answered captains with console because that's what I'd want, but we ordered captains without because we need the car sooner.

We had factory ordered one with the second row bench but ended up with captains chairs because the first vehicle the dealer received had captains chairs. So far we are quite happy with the selection.

So I voted captains chairs.

I am waiting for the rear center console and then I will order an Enclave. As soon as anyone knows when we can order the Enclave with the rear console and captains chairs, please post that info on this site.

I spoke with my dealer saturday and he said he can call GM and see if he can place an order for the rear console. If he can, I will place my order right away.

For us 2nd Row Captains were one of the top 3 strong points of consideration. In fact that is how came to know about Acaida. I was browsing GMC's website and looking interior of Yukon when I saw a link to their "future" vehicle then.

My Montana has captain chairs with a folding table in between, so I would really want the console or the bench option when we get a Lambda. We don't fold it down to get to the 3rd row anyway, so I would rather not have the big gap between the chairs.

The Bench

We purposely chose the bench since, IMHO it's just as comfortable as the captain's seats and allows an extra passenger. There's a small center armrest with cupholders. Finally, it's a -$411 option. Paying less to get more makes a lot of sense to me.... :

I sat on the 3rd row seat in an eight seat configuration Acadia and felt a little suffocated, especially when I imagined 3 adults sitting in the 2nd row, therefore to me 2nd row captains make most sense and good view to the DVD/LCD screen from 3rd row center position.

i feel suffocated just looking at that 3rd row bench... reminds me too much of a car and i dilibertly do not want 8 people in my car.... 2 many darn people and would just throw the quiet tunning right out the window. lol...

Thats why you put the DVD on, so they can shutup and watch. :angel:

lol coop... no, i get really nervous in crowds and would prefer not to have a crowded car... im buying the vehicle for more room and i love the airiness of the captains chairs combined w/the dual sunroofs. i created this word to describe myself as far as crowds are concerned... its called crowdaphobia, i know they have a word already that means the samething but i just like the way this one sounds hehehehehe.

hey you never know, with the help of this forum, enough people will start using it and it may be added to the Webster one day. Have GMoney use it in the school and it will grow like bactaria.

We definitely wanted the 2nd row captains without the console so that you can easily pass through to the back without working the seat levers.

We initially wanted the bench, on the possibility that we might need to carry one eight once in a while. Then we saw the convenience of getting to the third seat thru the "middle row", extra comfort, and, the benefits of separating two 5-yr olds with an "air moat". We went for the Capt chairs.

Needed 8 passenger capacity for carpooling.
