Purchased a 2010 Acadia in 2010. Activated the free 3 month trial. It was active for 5 years! Finally went out and after a few months I was able to activate a 2 month free trial on the same vehicle. Just bought a 2012 Enclave and activated the trial.....they tried to up sell a year's Premium sub at $10/mo but we told them we will see how we like the trial....Maybe they will call back in 5 years!

Interesting, that reminds me of how we skied in VT without lift tix for more than one season, until I got caught.

I sent a FB message to the folks monitoring the SiriusXM page asking about renewal at the end of my trial. I have been doing the 5-6 months at $25/30 renewal the past several renewals on my Kia and wanted to see about getting the All Access Package so I could try the online/app portion. I was able to get it at $49 ($61 after fees) for 6 months, set it up on invoice and he waived my $2 invoice fee. I also got a name/phone number to deal with directly and was told to call him to cancel on the Kia when we turn it in as well as when my 6 months is up. I'm set until November and will decide then if it's worth keeping All Access.

Easiest experience I've ever had with SiriusXM.

Just thought I'd share!

FULL access for $61.00 for 6 months! AWESOME!! I still like my $5.00/mo. for 6 months. As I am not in the Enclave for maybe 25 - 40 minutes total (37-40 miles)a day for my commute from home to drop off kids at two schools, to work then reversed order to get us 3 back home.

If my bro has Howard Stern and Martha Stewart, is that full access? He gets that for 6 mos./$24.99. Ours is also 6 mos./$24.99 but we don't have Howard Stern. Again, I would just ask for what you know someone else is getting, though I haven't tried, the only "move" I made was saying no I don't want 5 mos. for $25, I want 6 mos. (that changed at one point from 6 mos to 5 mos back to 6 mos)...and the gal changed it just like that. Easy peesy this is costless to them to provide service to you, they'd rather get something rather than nothing....

No, that is the select package. All access is more expensive and includes internet and app streaming and on demand

No worries... the Select is a great deal, not sure of the value for All Access for my usage at this point, but will be interesting to see how the next 9 months play out.

Got my subscription invoice notice yesterday for "Mostly music" in my 2 cars. The renewal was $302.42 for a year for both. I called XM a while ago and negotiated for a lower renewal. Since "mostly music" has no promotional rate, my subscription is upgraded to Select Family Friendly for $189 for both cars for a year. Then I told the customer care agent that I would cancel it if it is not lowered to $180 and she agreed! So from $302.42, I paid only $180.00 with the upgraded package! :blob:

Nice! If you were willing to call 2x a year you could probably have gotten it as low as $100 for both cars. They often give out a 6 month for $25 or $30 Select package. Of course with fees it'd probably be closer to $120 a year.

XM is a nice addition to the radio listening options in our cars, but I got tired of renegotiating my subscription rates and cancelled it instead.

I mainly subscribe just for Howard Stern. He just signed for 5 more years but when he leaves, so shall I. Haha. I also like it when we're road tripping so we can have consistent radio for the group (80s channel mostly) in the car. If I didn't get it so cheaply, I would never subscribe, Howard or not. I'd just get his celeb interviews from YouTube instead. ;)

When my family and I used to go on longger road trips, XM was great for its consistent broadcast range nationwide.

Decided to see what offers I could get for both the Traverse (XM) and the Ford (Sirius). The select package is different depending on the radio being XM or Sirius. XM select includes the MLB teams whereas the Sirius includes the NFL teams. Sirius Select also includes Howard Stern but XM Select does not.

Going on a 3 week driving vacation to the west later this year and wanted to get XM for the Traverse. However, talking to the sales rep I ended up getting 6 months of ALL ACCESS (radio, on line, and smartphone app) for $24.37! This was for the Ford which is Sirius and it had already come with a 5 year free subscription to Traffic and Travel Link.

I can use the phone app to stream the radio into the Traverse while on vacation. It may not have as good of coverage as the XM satellites, but I have plenty of music on USB drives if/when I get no phone signal. No need to get an additional account for the Traverse now. :blob:

Renewed my standard XM subscription for 5 months for $25 ...with taxes $32.99. This is the second time I have used this offer. (Best longer term offer proposed was $99/year.)

You should be able to get 6 mos for $25.

XM Select 6 Month $24.99

I somehow was on the 5 for $25 too for two periods, but saw others getting that extra month. So I asked and the girl changed it. You don't even have to wait, change it right now. They will prorate. I guess rich 1%'ers like me like to feel I'm getting a better deal than everyone else hahahahahahah that's what my buddy says

I slipped up and missed my end of subscription a month ago. I called them today to cancel and realized they had already billed me for the next 6 months at $92.XX. I told them 5? 0/mo for 6 months or forget it. And credit the 92.00 or what was the prorated charge for this past month ... they told me it was 19.99 for the month. I asked to have it reduced to my original $5.0/mo. And they have credited the whole amount. Billed me at my normal $5.00/ mo. For the next 6 months. So technically I got 7 months at $5.00/mo.

You got lucky. The contract with XM indicates automatic renewal at the prevailing standard rates. They didn't have to retroactively credit your account.
