I have 2008 CXL. The transmission gave out at 119K miles and I had a GM dealer replace it about 2 years ago. The new transmission came with a 3 year, 100K mile warranty. Within a year the transmission started acting up. Intermittently (2-3 times a week) from a cold start I have to rev the engine to about 3500 RPM to get it to move. It then moves slowly for about 30 seconds or so and then begins to work normally. I took it to the dealer two weeks ago. They were able to replicate the trouble, but couldn’t figure out the cause. They want me to continue driving it until the problem becomes more consistent and they can diagnose it. In the meantime I just have to put up with it. Some warranty.

Has anyone run into this problem of having to over-rev the engine to get moving? It’s like it is stuck in a high gear, but it happens in reverse as well. It does not post any P-codes. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
