Don't know where to post this, so I tried here...

There is a new TSB for the Enclave that the tires are coming overinflated from the plant. We checked ours and they were at 42lbs, and are supposed to be at 35. The TSB says to ignore the tire itself and go with the door placard and it instructs dealers to check and fix this during pre delivery inspection. So, for anyone having received or about to - keep an eye out for this.

By the way, in general, is there a place I should put these TSBs? There's only a handful currently, but some might provide valuable to other here...

TSB = "Technical Service Bulletin"

All car manufacturers issue them to dealers and service techs to review for issues like I mentioned or, repairs, or other issues. I think there was actually one for wind buffeting, for example, and there's one for gory details like work on the transmission, etc.

We need to get Admin to set up a tab exclusively for the TSB's. It would be great to have them published on here for all to view. If I am not mistaken not everyone is able to get these. Do you not have to subscribe to this to be able to get them, and have the software to run the program?

I know the two local shops I use for auto repairs subscribe to a service to gain access to TSB's. They receive software from a service and have internet access on their shop computer to allow them to look them up on any and all vehicles.

The one fellow teaches auto mechanics at the local Career Center for HS students. He was the one who originally told me about them a few years ago. They came in handy when we were trying to figure out a water leak on the body of my daughters 2000 Malibu. There are 15 TSB's on that year Malibu for body water leaks!!!!

It's either Alldata or Mitchell On Demand. I think Mitchell is the preferred one.

So...admin (and others)...do we want a section for me to post these TSBs?

Tell me where to put them and I'll get them up there this week.

Maybe a sticky in the technical section or something?

Is there a place for us to research any TSB's for the Enclave's? I have an appt Friday to update the transmission programming and I would like to find out if GM ever issued a TSB for the poor FM radio reception that was discussed back in May/June. I would prefer to do some of the research myself and not just rely on the dealership for the information.

Wow, I completely missed this thread somehow. Well, when I expanded acadiaforum.net with new boards, I created one specifically for Recalls and TSBs. I'm thinking it's about time to do the same switch here, since traffic and posts are really picking up. I'll probably just use the exact same format as I did over there, except for the one extra board here, dedicated to order times and issues.

I'll work on that today and then we can start adding TSBs as we come across them.
