I figure I should get rid of my collection and trade them in for this vehicle.
Here is what I am trading in...
AMC Pacer
AMC Gremlin
Yugo
Chevy Vega
Volkswagon Thing
Ford Pinto
The dealer told me he would take them off me for $3000.
I asked him if I could make that in 6 payments of $500 each.
Says that he "will have to put them in the back under tarps to keep people from thinking that they might sell this crap."
At least the township will get off my case with their "Beautify America -Start At Home" B.S.
And my neighbors will stop asking "if found them when I mowed my grass" (Thanks Jeff Foxworthy).
I can totally relate to your story, I have lead foot myself, well I didnt have the G35 but a Maxima which I traded with the Enclave. I used to get yelled by my wife all the time about how fast I was going with two kids in the back, now the problem is solved. Buick doesn't respond to my foot as quickly and as easily as the Maxima or my Pathfinder. So I have adopted (in just two days!) to the way it responds, i.e, slowly and easily, suddenly the world is a calmed place!worldbob said:We traded in an Infiniti G35x. It's just not large enough for two car seats and a couple strollers. I'll miss the road trips at 140+ MPH but with two kids the Enclave will be a much needed speed limiter. It's time to grow up! But a BUICK??? Never thought it would happed!
I'm still skeptical if the Enclave will hold up as well as the G35x. 78,000 miles and it never had a single problem of any kind, it also drove and looked as good as new when we traded it in. We take a lot of road trips through BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, California, and Nevada so AWD is a must. And with child #2 on the way a bigger vehicle was needed. On paper the Enclave fits the bill.
Back in Dec 04 Infiniti wasn't really on the map yet. The G35x was a gamble that paid off. The only complaint I ever had was the road noise. That isn't a problem with the Enclave, this thing is QUIET!
I'm hoping for the same luck with the Buick. This Buick is by far the slowest accelerating vehicle I have ever owned but it's so quiet and comfortable that I'm happy sitting in it for a few extra hours on a long trip. 3500 miles so far and I'm not looking back. I think Buick has delivered a fine automobile!
