Does anyone know what happened to MuddyZ? He was the "temporary" LDT plant employee who thought he was going to be let go, then told he would still have a job when the 3rd shift was announced last month. I noticed ALL his posts have been deleted, and was curious if he was still around? He had given us some good "inside" information.

I have been wondering the same thing....I wonder if it has anything to do with the time he said he was being let go and then all of the sudden he had some "inside info" but didn't want to say what it was but it was good information for all those waiting on Lambdas. Then we all shortly thereafter found out about the 3rd shift. And then, bye bye, Muddyz. One could speculate all they want, but people's posts on a forum like this typically don't disappear.

His Profile listed his Post as "0" and Post per day as "0". Something has happened. :( :banghead:

I remember he did post the "good news" about the 3rd shift even before it hit the presses and he said he was going to retain his job. He was a very nice guy and was very proud of his work on the lambdas. I hope he wasn't "rubbed out" by someone with the UAW or GM because of his posts. Admin, any thoughts? What or WHO would be responsible for "wiping out" someone's posts?

We always have referred to Muddyz like our insider buddy in conversation about these forums and the Lambdas. I always appreciated his valuable insight even though I have only been on this forum for about a month or so. I feel like we are posting to a Eulogy. God Bless You Muddyz, wherever you are!

My guess is that he was found out and was told to stop or out. Stop or out is the best thing thta could happen vs just out. I know where I work if I give up confidential info the quote is "up to and including termination"

It looks like he's been erased and never was here. To bad, he offered a look behind the scene. GM knows that it has a mess on it's hands and doesn't want us to know to much. More than likely he won't be the last. His information was valuable, but really didn't contain any great trade secrets, just his frustration with working for GM as a temp. Who will be next? Thanks, Muddyz, and good luck!

It's nice to know GM is watching the site, but you would think their first, A1 priority would have been to fix the transmission shift, not beat someone up about info on the third plant shift!

I love it! Great comment. One of the best I have seen on any board.

I knew, with every post by MuddyZ, I was seeing information any employer would not want out in the open. Darn lawyers.. One example was that he mentioned that one of the lambda models took a lot of extra steps at his particular assembly station compared to the other two. In the course of an hour he would see several of each lamdba model. I got the feeling he felt rushed -- perhaps dreading that "extra steps" model coming up to his station. My next thought was.. if this guy is rushed at his job then that is a perfect formula for a quality issue -- stay away from that lambda..

See my point? If I was GM I wouldn't want potential customers going through that thought process. I love you MuddyZ. I hope you are still on the Line.

well, i for one do not see your point..... its obvious that the enclave has more steps than the others due to the quiet tunning... so, i dont think that had anything to do w/it. i didnt see anything that he did or said that was so wrong.

To date the administrator of this forum has apparently not responded to a request for information about the removal of MuddyZ's posts. This inevitably raises questions about who is actually administering the forum. If enough negative posts, i.e., constructive criticism of the Enclave emerges, does that mean, then, that the posts will be removed? The value of this forum lies in the dissemination of information about the vehicle so that consumers can make fully informed decisions about their purchase.

I have enjoyed this forum and read it regularly as I am interested in the Enclave. However, managed news of any kind isn't tolerable. All information out there is helpful. I have felt MuddyZ was an advocate for GM and for the Enclave in particular. Again, information about the rationale for the removal of his posts will be helpful. If GM controlled the situation, that will be very useful information to me and others, I suspect.

The admin hasn't made any posts at all in the last few days...maybe he's on vacation or something. Hopefully he'll respond and explain the situation. It's certainly a real possibility that this site is administered by GM - that wouldn't surprise me at all. Blogs are a very common marketing tool right now. Whether they are disguised as "public" or not, there's no better way to get candid feedback from your customers.

I'd actually feel better about GM knowing that they are actively seeking our feedback through forums like this. Although that still offers no explanation about MuddyZ's vanishing...but maybe something he said violated some GM policy. Seem's dumb, but I guess it's possible.

Maybe he was spending too much time on this blog and not enough time BUILDING OUR ENCLAVES!!! :D

Hey guys, sorry for the delay. I was on vacation last week and trying to get caught up, both at work and at home this week. Let me set the record straight about this site first, for those of you who haven't been around since it started and may not know me. I'm just a regular guy who bought an Acadia back in late January and couldn't find a good moderated forum dedicated to my new GMC. After a week of looking, I threw up my hands, said to myself "you know, you DO this kind of thing for a living. Why not just create one and see what happens?" So I did. I started Acadiaforum.net on Feb 5th, 5 days after buying my Acadia... and it took off. Obviously, lots of other people wanted the same thing I did. About 2 months later, I started getting lots of emails and PMs asking why I didn't also have forums for the other Lambdas. After a bit of consideration, I set up enclaveforum.net and saturnoutlookforum.net as well. These sites are not run by GM or a GM employee (if you look up whois info on these domains, it probably points right to my home address in Ashburn VA). And I do my VERY best not to censor anyone on here (outside of extremely offensive content, which, so far, has been almost non-existent).

Ok, with that out of the way, I'll address the actual question about muddyZ as best I can. As most of you know, he was a GM employee, working at the Lansing Delta plant, and was a great contributor to this forum. He contacted me let me know that GM did not approve of his posts on this site. He didn't go into details about what specifically they didn't like, but his job was at stake because of it. Obviously, his livelihood is FAR more important that us getting tidbits of information from the source. He asked me to delete all of his posts and any threads he started based on his employers request. I don't necessarily agree with GM's attitude on this, but I will most definitely honor my member's requests for such things. The reason I take issue with it is because the three forums I created and run serve the sole purpose of PROMOTING these fantastic new vehicles that GM has built. Sometimes that means raving about their great features. Other times it means making GM aware of problems and issues their owners have uncovered. in either case, I would say that 95% of us here have nothing but the best of intentions with regards to GM and their Lambdas.

That said, GM is running a business; a cut-throat business in which they are currently in the fight of their lives. Perhaps muddyz mentioned something that was in violation of a nondisclosure agreement he signed. Perhaps there were posts made that GM viewed as trade secrets. Perhaps they just didn't want to take a chance of that happening down the road, who knows. If they felt insider posts on a public forum might come back to harm them in some way, that's their call to make. I assure all of you, though, that I had nothing to do with any of those decisions. I want to provide the best and most accurate information possible on the Enclave here, but I certainly don't intend on hurting GM in the process.

Muddyz is not the only GM insider we have here - there are others who post to the forum on occasion, but I think the difference is, they are acting on behalf of GM with prior approval. The bottom line here is that there's no conspiracy. A GM employee posted on here, GM didn't like it, so he stopped ;)

I'm sure I speak for many others, that we appreciate your efforts with this "forum". It is very interesting and informative. Good information has been posted and shared by many Enclave enthusiasts.

I CERTAINLY HOPE A RESPONSIBLE GM OFFICIAL IS READING THESE DAILY. THEY COULD LEARN A FEW THINGS ABOUT THEIR NEW LAMDA VEHICLES THAT THE PUBLIC IS EXPERIENCING!!!! :banghead: AND HOPEFULLY MAKE CORRECTIONS OR MODIFICATIONS.

With that said.....thank you admin! Great site!!!!
