My son hit our fence while parking our 2009 Buick Enclave CXL and broke the chrome bumper trim. I replaced it today and while I was poking around I found a few other issues. One of the issues is that I found a light bulb hanging behind the bumper.

I didn't do much with it at the time that I found it, and now it's pouring down rain, so I don't yet have a photo. It doesn't look like an aftermarket bulb that was added in.

Is there any reason for a bulb to be in the middle of the bumper area?

Not unless someone PUT a light in the lower grill area.
Can you pull the light bulb and get a part number off if it, that may help us figure out where it may go to. Does it look as though it is actually connected to an OEM harness wire?

I got a closer look this morning and it turns out that it's not a bulb... It looks like the temperature sensor for the thermometer.
