Anyone (particularly Enclave8j1....):

I was at a dealer today contemplating ordering an Enclave and it seemed as though the optional 19" chrome wheels were not available to order for an 08 Enclave CXL, at least here in MN. There was a "Chrome something or other" package that that I've never heard of before that includes the sunroof and some other things, but only available in the California/West Coast area.

Can anyone try to tell me if this was some type of glitch, user error, or something like that. I would like to order the vehicle but I am not sure I want to take the standard CXL 15 spoke wheels.

Are the optional 19" restricted at this time?

It looks like they are offering the sunroof and ugraded wheels as a package. You should still be able to get just the wheels without the sunroof as a standard option item.

Interior section-Added (PCX) FTC Chrome Package, includes (C3U) power, tilt-sliding sunroof with additional skylight and (P65) 4 - 19" x 7.5" (48.3 cm x 19.1 cm) seven-spoke chromed aluminum wheels, it will be "A1" on FWD CXL 1XL and AWD CXL 1XL with footnote 1 to read "Available for residents of Florida, Texas, California and select adjacent areas. Must specify (R6Q) (PCX) FTC Chrome Package Discount not desired when content within option package is ordered and entire package is not desired or (R7C) Residency restriction override when the package is ordered outside of the approved areas."

Thanks. Whatever system my sales guy was in was not letting him pick either option. The package I could understand because MN does not fall into the states listed, but the stand-alone option was not cooperating either.

If I read this correctly, the dealer may need to select "R6Q (PCX) FTC Chrome Package Discount not desired" before selecting only the wheels "P65 Wheels, 4 - 19" x 7.5" (48.3 cm x 19.1 cm) seven-spoke chromed aluminum".

zman and others...19" Wheels are not restricted on CXL. PM me with your dealer name and I'll have the Buick folks contact them. Initial demand appears to be high for this wheel which MAY result in delays. No known delays yet...will keep you posted should they occur! For those who haven't tried the www.buick.com site...it's very cool. As you order your vehicle, visible options and colors change right on the vehicle you are "ordering". This site can be printed and taken to the dealer so they can place the "official" order.
