Where do you store the headphones?

The only good storage space I find large enough to hold the headphones is the glovebox. That is a little awkward as the rear passengers can't get to them without someone's help. I looked through the owner's manual and they say don't store them in the seat pockets and don't leave them out in the sun. The manual suggests you store them in the front seat center console. Maybe I am losing my mind but I can't find any storage area in the center console that is nearly big enough to hold the headphones.

Am I missing something? Where is everyone else keeping them? Thanks

There's a very deep compartment in the center console. There should be plenty of room for headphones.
I just found it. I didn't realize that little tray lifts out! In the words of the great Homer Simpson: "Doh!"

Thanks
static, under the slide portion of the center console there is a little tray. lift that up and there is a space under there where you can store your headphones and also it has another aux plug in there too.
Thanks MsS42. We were posting at the same time. I had just found the little devil! :)
oh good :thumb:
Additional storage is another reason I wanted the Console between the Captain's Seats. As long as it seems like it's going to take to receive my Enclave, :banghead: just maybe, I will be able to get the rear Console.
well rocketman,

i agree w/ya... some of the things that i needed are just not ready so i decided to wait. i wanted the enclave for my yearly cross country road trip but couldnt get it... so i have decided to place my order later... im in no hurry now and by the time i order i will have had a chance to really see all the colors. the console might be in by now, did ya try to call the dealer and see if you are able to add it to your order before it hits the assembly line? let us know if you can do it.
I only live about 5 minutes from the Dealer. I'm going by there tomorrow and see if I can add the Console. It might already be on the order, because the Dealer knew I wanted the Console all along. I told him " every option except Block Heater", and I specifically told him about the Console. I'll let you know when I find out something.
The headphones fit well when you lift up the headrests - if you happen to need them you can get to them fairly easily and still have some space in the center console for "stuff". It does not seem to be in the way in this position, advertises the feature to new passengers, and I do not see it as a health risk in case of an accident, but if you feel this is not for you, don't do it ... :)
I have found the best place to store the headphones is in the lower cup holder/storage cubby in the back seat doors. They fit perfectly and are tight enough that they do not rattle when you close the doors. The kids can reach these easily in this location. We were putting them on the fold up arm rests of the captains chairs but found that they would slide off onto the floor too often.

That pocket had to designed for the headphones. Its a perfect fit and kids can easily get it out and put it away!

This is where I store the headphones as well. I almost think this compartment was specifically made for the headphones.
Newbie here. We too had to find the best place for the headphones. Tried the hanger hooks above the 3rd row seats and they fell. Right now we've stored them in the cup holder wide area on each side of the 3rd row seats. They don't rattle and don't get banged around when closing the doors as they would in the 2nd row doors. Kids just have to reach behind them to get them. :)

We usually hang them on the little shock cord that goes across the back of the 2 front seats; that way, the kids can reach them easily when using booster or car seats.
Well, I know where I probably WON'T be putting mine again ... over my head and ears!!! Listened to a DVD of Andrea Bocelli and while very convenient and the sound was great, the headphones hurt my ears. :banghead: So, need something else. Any suggestions?[/color]
