Ok, I have a strange question. Wife and I are debating an Outlook vs. Enclave. We both agree the Enclave is much better looking and classier overall. We do have a couple of silly hang-ups between the two vehicles. One is, that on the Outlook the backs of the front seats have a criscross netting type pocket on the lower part of the seat in addition to the "solid" pocket. In several marketing pics I have seen of the Enclave, it shows the same criscross netting pocket. But on all Enclaves we have seen on dealer lots as well as owner pics here, the "net" type pocket is missing. The top "string" is there, but it appears the factory forgot to attach the criscross netting below the top horizontal string to form a pocket. Am I crazy? Any input would be appreciated. Is this some sort of "dealer installed" item that the Buick dealers are forgetting to install, but the Saturn dealers are?

hmmmm,

i never payed it any attention until i just read your post but i think i prefer it without it because when i got in the saturn i got caught by the netting.

You're right, it appears to be missing. I just picked up my enclave tonight and it only has the single elastic string on each seat.
Maybe the factory guy who monitor's this forum can chime in.

Hey monstersinc congrats on the new ride. Couldn't help but noticing what you are replacing. We are replacing a 1999 Lt Taupe Pontiac Montana Ext and are leaning toward a new Red Jewel Tintcoat Enclave CXL  Hope you enjoy! If I may ask, did you trade your Montana or are you going to sell it? We have 120K on ours and 4 kids  Wondering what we might be able to get for it.

I traded it. I wasn't originally, but they gave me a "fair" number for a trade. It was white with 93,000 miles.

That is strange, If i get a chance i will run by final where they put in the seats and see whats going on with that. It could be a dealer installed thing but I have no real way of knowing. Ill get back to you guys and let ya know.
Hey MuddyZ, did you ever get a chance to find out from "seat production" why the Enclave's don't get the "net-type" storage pocket? It seems odd that the one elastic string is there, but no netting below it. Is there a special "code" when ordering?

I'm about 2 1/2 hours south of Lansing and have seen 3 car haulers with Enclave's, Acadia's and Outlooks on them at a nearby truck stop in the past 10 days. I even saw one on the move down the interstate. They are out there and getting them delivered.

Like mentioned in other posts - we got feedback that items were getting caught and snagged on the net and the net was getting stretched out of shape and looking bad - so we no longer include the net but let the strap as we thought it might still be useful for hooking the headphone over or folding a map or paper or magazine or whatever you want over the strap - we thought it still had value and looked better than the net that got stretched out of shape and snagged.

as there been any other information on this? MuddyZ?

I believe this is a miss and quality issue from the seat supplier (Lear?). I will be making a warranty claim to have the netting installed as pictured in the brochure photo's and obviously currently installed on the Acadia and Outlook.

What are the sources for the explanation that the netting has been removed due to catching? Dealers sales, service, Buick customer service?
