Can someone give me the specifications for the '08 19" wheel lug nuts? Ive found alot of confusing info out on the web with most sites just saying "OEM Lug Nuts Enclave" - and some sites mentioning that the 20" wheels use a different size lug nut vs the 19" and possibly the 18" wheels. GMPartsdirect wasnt much help either.

Some sites came up with a Dorman part which was a 'shorty' lug nut and the Enclave requires a longer one..........

This is something that shouldnt be that hard to find!

The more common sizes Ive seen are M14x1.5mmx22mm - some have stated 14x1.5 3/4inch

Help!

It says they are compatible with 2008-11 Enclaves. For that price I would take a a chance.
I did - will let you know how it goes :)

So I get the lug nuts and go to put them on today - first thing I notice is they are 1.2" vs the 3/4" that came on the car. They fit the stud so I figure I am ok. After putting 2 tires worth on I went back to the description and it says 3/4" is what they were supposed to send me...............I cant put my old ones back on since they are stripped and the reason for getting new ones.........................

If you are looking for lug nuts M14x1.5mmx3/4" are the size the 19" tires require - Hopefully these guys dont give me a hassle shipping new ones to me, this is super frustrating now.

Anyone know what potential issues I could have with 1/2" lug nuts on my front tires? I could prob get a decent # of my 3/4"s back on but I would def not be able to get 2 of them back on - thoughts?

Are you saying that the new lugs are 1/2 inch long instead of 3/4 inch long? In your first sentence you stated 1.2 and I thought you meant1 and 2 tenths inches long.

If they are longer, there should be no problem. If they are shorter, the depth may not allow the lug to make full contact on the wheel. The lug may be hitting the top of the wheel stud, preventing full contact on the wheel.

I would take one of the shorter ones off and put something on top of the stud, such as a small drop of putty, bubble gum, a small piece of wadded up masking tape, something that will just sit on top the stud. Now put the lug back on and torque it to the correct torque. Remove it and see if the piece of whatever you put on the stud was disturbed or crushed. If so, you are making contact on the stud and not fully on the wheel.

If nothing is disturbed, you should be OK until you get the correct size ones. I don't know how close all the other studs would be to being the same length, so you might want to try on 2 or 3 studs to see. I would still definitely replace them with the correct size.

No - they are 1/2" wide vs 3/4" - ie, I need a 1/2" Hex nut to unscrew the lug nut. 1.5mm is the length witch is correct.

OK, I understand. Is the surface of the contact area the same on the 1/2 wide as on the 3/4 wide? I would think the 3/4 has a larger surface which contacts the wheel to hold it on. I would be OK driving with the 1/2 for several days locally until the correct ones come in.

The smaller diameter would mean you would have to carry a supplemental wrench in case you get a flat tire since the factory one would be too large.

So Ive got my final answer - these lug nuts dont fit an Enclave with OEM wheels - buyer beware almost all the lug nuts on ebay that say they fit an Enclave DONT with OEM wheels. Totally lame - here is where the 'numnuts' guys are hanging their hat on with regard to the confusion - it says this buried way down in the info:

"This style of lug nut is used on aftermarket wheels with exposed lug nuts."

2 pages above this you plug in your vehicle and it says it works with an Enclave CXL. They will process a refund however it will cost me $10 for the experiment.

So - here is the official info for replacement lug nuts for an Enclave with 19" rims:

M14x1.5 7/8" hex closed end

They are hard to find and very expensive - Ive opted to just stick with my butchered up ones for now until I can find a reasonible replacement.

Buyer beware - there are tons of dealers out there claiming M14x1.5 3/4" hex works on the Enclave - which technically is correct - they will fit, only if you have non-OEM rims.

Regarding the ebay $10.00 fee, that's probable for return shipping, correct? Since the listing showed them as being the correct ones for OEM wheels in the description or "what models do these fit" application chart I would file a SNAD claim (significantly not as described) and see how the seller replies. You will not be charged return shipping if you "win" the claim which you should be able to with no problem.

If the seller fights it or does not provide return shipping on his dime, I would post a factual negative for his feedback along with 1 star for item as described.
